About Doug Foster
Doug Foster, President of Doug Foster & Associates, Inc., started his company in 1998 after serving more than a decade as a senior executive in secondary marketing and mortgage banking. His consulting work focuses on helping clients improve secondary marketing results through sound risk management and valuation practices.
Doug is author of numerous published articles and educational materials on mortgage industry issues and a frequent speaker at industry conferences and other mortgage related forums. From 1998 to 2011 he served as instructor of the secondary track for Fannie Mae's Housing Finance Institute where he taught risk management; mortgage loan sales and securitization; Mortgage Servicing Rights valuation methodology; and other secondary marketing topics to Fannie Mae's diverse base of institutional customers. He has also designed and facilitated secondary marketing training for industry trade groups, industry regulators including the FDIC and NCUA, mortgage insurance companies, and secondary marketing conduits.
Doug received his MBA in Finance from Florida State University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
